THE PROBLEM
You're Scared. And You Should Be.
Last February, a 14-year-old boy died by suicide after months of conversations with an AI chatbot. His mom saw the warning signs - withdrawal, secretiveness, mood changes - but didn't know they were AI-specific red flags.
His final words were to the chatbot. Not his family.
Why I Created This
Hi, I'm Dr. Liz
I'm a leadership coach who helps professionals and teams integrate AI into their work. But lately, half my questions aren't about work. They're from worried parents:
"My kid is on ChatGPT constantly."
"Should I be concerned?"
"I don't know what I'm doing."
I get it. Because I see it happening with kids ages 8-12 - that's when phones, laptops, and online independence collide with AI everywhere.
I created this guide because parents need simple, actionable steps - not technical jargon. You don't need to understand how large language models work. You just need to know how to keep your kid safe.
That's what this does.
What's Included?
Is this worth it?
What is the time commitment?
What if I am new to AI?
Will this actually work? What if I don't have time?
